At the core of this work was the connection between audience, sound and music, and the market square located in the old centre of Groede, located in West Zeeland Flanders.
Signal is a spatial sound installation and a landscape opera that moves through the picturesque and artistic village of Groede. In the middle of the market stands an eye-catcher: the Great Church. Old houses from the 17th century can be admired from the square.
The audience can walk through the work, interact with it and influence what they hear or where and when they hear it. Each member of the audience has, in a way, a bespoke experience.
