For ‘Emergency’ we worked together with Jacob Polley, who explores the catastrophic flooding of Carlisle during the Cumbrian flood event of 2005. Described at the time as a once in a 100 years event, the flooding recurred in 2015 and 2020 and here representing the consequences of the wider climate emergency.

‘Emergency’ weaves actual news reportage and poetic dramatic narrative into our soundscape, resulting in a vintage-feel radio play with a very much present day theme.
